Tom Macie, President and Principal Model Designer, is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, and Professor of Theatre Design and Production at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, from 1986 to 2004. He received grant funding in 1994 to explore the possibility of making digital renderings of stage designs from computer-drafted plans. During this exploration, Tom tested various combinations of drawing, painting, CAD, and 3D modeling software products.

WakeMed Foundation Fundraising Images

WakeMed Naming Opportunity Example

The WakeMed Foundation is in the midst of a $20 million fundraiser to build a children’s hospital in Wake County, North Carolina. To support their online and in person efforts we were commissioned to prepare a 3D visualizations of select rooms in the new hospital.

Marston Pavilion Interior Renovations

Within Interior Design, Hampton, Virgina, contacted us about modeling the interior redesign for two rooms in the Marston Pavilion. Since this was a rush job with a five-day deadline, one static view was selected for each room that would illustrate the largest quantity of design elements.
